Hunters can use one leashed tracking dog

Beginning July 1, 2026, if you shot a big game animal or a black bear and it is wounded or killed, you can use one leashed blood‑trailing dog to track and recover it. You must be the person who fired the shot. Tracking must happen within 72 hours. The dog must stay leashed.
