Through its 50/50 joint venture with Albemarle Corporation, Jordan Bromine Company (JBC), APC sits inside the electronics supply chain without appearing in any semiconductor or electronics industry map. FR-4 PCB laminates cannot meet UL94 flammability standards without TBBPA, making the Jordanian Dead Sea an invisible input to global electronics manufacturing.

In 2018, Yara International signed an MoU to acquire a 30% stake in KEMAPCO (Arab Potash's KNO3 subsidiary) and fund a M capacity expansion that would double KEMAPCO's output. As of 2025, this deal has not been publicly confirmed as closed. If completed, Jordan's global KNO3 share would jump from ~12% to ~20%, reshaping the global supply map.

KEMAPCO (Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries Ltd.), 100% owned by Arab Potash, supplies approximately 12% of global potassium nitrate (KNO₃) demand — placing it among the world's largest KNO₃ producers alongside SQM (Chile) and Israel's Haifa Chemicals. KNO₃ is the specialty fertilizer of choice for chloride-sensitive, high-value crops (fruits, vegetables, tobacco) and is also used in glass ceramics, food preservation, and as an industrial oxidizer. KEMAPCO was established in 1998 as a downstream value-add on APC's potash feedstock.

Arab Potash Company has mined the Dead Sea since 1956 through solar evaporation across 112 sq km of salt ponds at Ghor Al-Safi, Jordan. The original concession was a single-product potash operation. Over six decades, APC built a seven-subsidiary holding structure (via JODICO) that extracts six distinct product lines from the same brine — potash, salt, bromine, magnesia, specialty fertilizers, and cosmetics minerals. The Dead Sea level is declining approximately 1 meter per year due to upstream water diversion, creating a geological time horizon for all these products.
