HeidelbergMaterials acquired SEFA Group in May 2023 for an undisclosed sum. SEFA was the largest recycler of fly ash sold to concrete in the US, supplying 800+ concrete plants in 13 states and processing ~1 million t/yr of pond ash. HeidelbergMaterials gained both ash volume and SEFA's proprietary pond ash processing technology.
