JFE West Japan Works (Kurashiki, Okayama)
JFE Steel West Japan Works in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. Primary JFE GOES production site. In 2021 and 2023, JFE expanded GOES capacity here to meet growing demand from grid modernization and EV traction motors. JFE and JSW Steel (India) formed a JV expected to commence GOES production in India by FY2028, with Kurashiki as the technology source. Also produces non-oriented electrical steel (NOES) for EV traction motors.
