Prayon corporate headquarters and primary production site. Founded 1882. Produces purified phosphoric acids, food-grade phosphate salts (STPP, SHMP), and fluorine products. The Prayon wet-process for phosphoric acid — which generates >50% of the world's merchant-grade phosphoric acid — was developed and is licensed from this facility. Engis is on the Meuse River in the Liège industrial valley.
