Title 18 › Part I— CRIMES › Chapter 110— SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND OTHER ABUSE OF CHILDREN › § 2253
A person convicted of certain offenses involving illegal visual images or related crimes must give up to the United States any ownership interest in three kinds of things. First, any illegal visual image or any book, magazine, film, videotape, or other item that contains such an image if it was made, sent, or received in violation of the law. Second, any property, land, or money that is the gross profit or other proceeds from the crime. Third, any property used or meant to be used to commit or help commit the crime, and anything that can be traced back to that property. The rules in Section 413 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 853), except for subsections (a) and (d), apply to these criminal forfeitures.
