§15083 Authorization of Appropriations

Summary

Provides $16,000,000 for fiscal year 2001 and whatever money is needed for fiscal years 2002 through 2007 to carry out the listed projects. Most of the money must be used to make grants, contracts, or other agreements under section 15082. Up to 1% of each year’s appropriation may pay non‑Federal employee administrative costs for the Administration on Developmental Disabilities to run this part and parts B, C, and D, including monitoring and giving technical help to funded groups. The Secretary must spend at least as much on technical help for entities under part B or part D in a “covered year” as was spent the year before. A covered year for part B is when the amount in section 15029(a) is under $76,000,000. A covered year for part D is any year before the first year section 15066(a)(1) reaches $20,000,000. The Secretary must also set aside $100,000 each year for electronic information sharing under section 15063(c)(4). If a year’s appropriation is $10,000,000 or more, no more than 50% of it may be used for activities under section 15081(2)(A).
