Title 5 › Part III— EMPLOYEES › Subpart G— Insurance and Annuities › Chapter 89— HEALTH INSURANCE › § 8907
The Office of Personnel Management must give anyone who can sign up for a health plan under this chapter the information needed to choose between the plan types listed in sections 8903 and 8903a. OPM will provide that information in a format it approves after talking with the plan’s carrier. When a person enrolls, they must get a document that explains what benefits they (and any eligible family members) get, including any limits or exclusions, tells how to obtain those benefits, and summarizes the main rules of the plan that affect them.
