Committee Will Advise VA on FPOW Benefits

The Advisory Committee on Former Prisoners of War will advise the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on administration of benefits for former POWs, including compensation, health care, and rehabilitation. The Committee will also provide at least one report per year to the Secretary and advise on access, quality, and accountability of services for former POWs.

Apply to Join FPOW Advisory Committee

If you are a former prisoner of war, a representative of former POWs, or a subject-matter expert, you can be nominated to serve on the Advisory Committee on Former Prisoners of War. Send a nomination by 5 p.m. EST on February 28, 2025; selected individuals are invited to serve a two-year term (terms may not exceed three years), and committee members will receive a stipend, per diem, and reimbursement for eligible travel expenses.
