Federal coordination for Games security
The President created a White House Task Force to coordinate Federal planning for security, transportation, and entry/exit processes for the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Task Force is chaired by the President (Vice President as Vice Chair) and will operate through December 31, 2028.
Visa and credentialing assistance for visitors
The Task Force will assist in planning and implementing visa processing and credentialing programs for foreign athletes, coaches, officials, and media personnel for the Games. These efforts are part of the Task Force's functions and will continue while the Task Force is active through December 31, 2028.
DHS to house and fund Task Force
For administrative purposes the Task Force will be housed in the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Homeland Security shall provide funding and administrative support for the Task Force. The Task Force will terminate on December 31, 2028 unless extended by the President.
