Agencies Must Deliver Initial Results by July 4, 2026
Heads of federal agencies must consult with the Chief Design Officer and produce initial results implementing America by Design by July 4, 2026. Agencies are directed to prioritize websites and physical sites that have a major impact on Americans' everyday lives, and the General Services Administration shall consult to update the United States Web Design System.
Federal Services Will Be Redesigned
You will see federal websites and physical government services redesigned to be more usable and visually appealing under the new "America by Design" initiative. The White House is creating a National Design Studio and a Chief Design Officer to lead this effort, established within the Executive Office of the President on August 21, 2025.
