Reindeer Grazing Permit Information Required
If you are an Alaska Native who wants to graze reindeer on public lands the BLM manages in Alaska, you must provide information to the Bureau of Land Management to obtain or keep permission to graze. The BLM will use the information to check compatibility with land-use plans under 43 CFR part 4300, and comments on this collection are due by May 27, 2026.
New/Changed Reindeer Reporting Forms and Burden
The BLM is reinstating OMB Control Number 1004-0182 with changes: it discontinues form AK 4132-1 and incorporates the Reindeer Grazing Permit Annual Report (43 CFR 4300.45), permit assignment (43 CFR 4300.59 and 4300.60), and permit to cross reindeer over public lands (43 CFR 4300.80). The paperwork will use forms AK 4201-1 and Form 4120-7, and BLM estimates about 6 annual respondents, 14 annual responses, 11 total annual burden hours, 30 minutes to 1 hour per response, and $12 total annual non-hour cost.
