BLM to Convey 34.87 Acres for Cemetery

If you live in Sublette County, WY, the Bureau of Land Management proposes to convey approximately 34.87 acres to the Upper Green River Cemetery District so they can build a new cemetery to meet current and future burial needs. You may submit written comments by June 15, 2026; if there are no adverse comments, the classification becomes effective 60 days after this notice's publication (publication date April 29, 2026). The parcel-specific Environmental Assessment is DOI-BLM-WY-D010-2025-0090-EA and project materials are on the BLM ePlanning website.

Conveyance Includes Mineral & Other Reservations

The conveyance documents, if issued, will reserve all minerals to the United States (with the right to prospect for, mine, and remove deposits) and will be subject to conditions including a right-of-way for ditches or canals (Act of August 30, 1890), terms required by law (including 43 CFR 2741.4), an indemnification clause protecting the United States, and valid existing rights.
