Statewide change to physician associate title
The law changes the job title in state law from physician assistant to physician associate in many places. It updates singular, plural, and possessive forms, and older phrasing like physician's assistant. The law says both titles mean the same thing and does not change rights, duties, or pay. One section switches to the new wording on January 1, 2027.
CME requirement for some physician associates
Physician associates who were once certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) but do not keep that certification must meet the continuing medical education rule in RSA 328-D:10. This takes time and may cost money for courses. It does not change job rights or pay.
