Title 16 › Chapter CHAPTER 1— - NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER VIII— - KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARK › § 80a
The General Grant National Park is ended, and the listed lands that used to be in it are added to Kings Canyon National Park. Those lands — certain parts of sections in townships 13, 14, and 15 south, range 28 east, Mount Diablo meridian — become the "General Grant grove section" of Kings Canyon, subject to any valid existing rights. The President may add more nearby sections in townships 14 and 15, range 28 east, by proclamation. Any added land follows the same park laws and rules. The extension must not stop free movement of stock and vehicles to and from national forest lands, under general rules set by the Secretary of the Interior. Kings Canyon must receive and use all money appropriated for General Grant National Park before or after March 4, 1940.
