Up to $7,500,000 can be used to build and equip hospital and lab buildings. It can also pay for living quarters for staff. These facilities are for the Public Health Service and will be called the National Institute of Mental Health. The General Services Administrator may get a site in or near the District of Columbia by purchase, condemnation, donation, or other means. The Surgeon General will advise on the site. The Administrator must prepare plans, hire contractors, supervise construction, and furnish and equip the buildings. The money also covers drawings, supervision, and other related administrative costs.
