Air Force intends partial patent license
The Department of the Air Force intends to grant Polaris Sensor Technologies, Inc. a partially exclusive license to U.S. Patent No. 9,857,226 B2 (issued January 2, 2018) covering a microgrid arrangement for integrated imaging polarimeters. The notice names Polaris (701 McMillian Way, Suite D, Huntsville, AL 35806) as the prospective licensee and states the Department may grant the license unless a timely objection is received.
15-day window for objections and competing applications
Anyone may file a written objection within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication (publication date: February 28, 2025). A competing application for a patent license that complies with 37 CFR 404.8 and is received within that period will be treated as an objection and may be considered as an alternative to the proposed license.
