The US 183A project in Williamson County will widen the toll facility from three to four toll lanes in each direction over approximately 8.8 miles, with widening generally toward the inside median.

US 77 Upgraded to Interstate Standards (13 Miles)

The US 77 Woodsboro–Refugio Improvement Project will upgrade existing and new sections to interstate standards with a four-lane divided freeway and controlled access for approximately 13 miles; the Final EA and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) were issued on March 10, 2026.

Speegleville Bridge Rebuild Near Middle School

The Speegleville Road Bridge project in McLennan County will reconstruct the bridge over the Middle Bosque River as two separate bridges each about 528 feet long, build pedestrian walkways on both sides, construct variable-width lanes of 12–14 feet, and narrow lanes at the River Valley Middle School driveway to accommodate a 12-foot right-hand turn lane.

New Sidewalks and Shared-Use Paths Planned

Several listed projects include new pedestrian and bicycle facilities: FM 707 will add a shared-use path on the north side; Ashley Drive will include five-foot sidewalks on each side; SH 99 will provide an 8-to-10-foot continuous shared-use path; Speegleville Road will include pedestrian walkways on both sides.
