Summary
The U.S. Department of Commerce is kicking off reviews to check if some imported goods are being unfairly priced or getting illegal help from foreign governments. Respondent Selection Timelines
If Commerce limits respondents, it will place U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data or a quantity-and-value (Q&V) questionnaire on the record within 5 days of this initiation notice, and make respondent selection within 35 days of the Federal Register initiation. Comments on the CBP or Q&V data are due within 7 days after that placement, and rebuttal comments are due within 5 days after the initial comments.
Certification Eligibility Application Deadline
Firms not currently eligible to certify that they can track subject vs. non-subject merchandise must submit a Certification Eligibility Application no later than 30 calendar days after this Federal Register notice was published. Notice of No Sales and Possible Rescission
If a producer or exporter had no exports, sales, or entries during the period of review (POR), it may notify Commerce within 30 days of publication of this initiation notice so Commerce can consider how to treat suspended entries and may rescind a review where there are no suspended entries.

A party that requested a review may withdraw that request within 90 days of the publication date of this initiation notice (Commerce may extend the 90‑day period on a case-by-case basis).
Particular Market Situation (PMS) Submission Timing
An interested party wishing to submit a particular market situation (PMS) allegation and supporting factual information under section 773(e) of the Tariff Act must do so no later than 20 days after submission of initial responses to section D of the questionnaire.
No Collapsing at Selection Phase Generally
Commerce will not perform company ‘collapsing’ analyses at the respondent-selection phase unless those companies were previously collapsed in a completed segment of the proceeding; if previously collapsed, Commerce will assume they remain collapsed for selection.

This means importers from Bahrain, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Oman, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, and Türkiye will still pay these duties starting July 6, 2026. The move protects U.S. aluminum makers from unfair competition and keeps the playing field fair.
