Final flood-map changes for listed communities

FEMA finalized Letter of Map Revisions (LOMRs) for the communities listed in the table (finalization dates in the table range from Apr. 9, 2026 through May 4, 2026). These LOMRs revise Base (1%-annual chance) Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, and/or regulatory floodways, and they revise the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) (and in some cases Flood Insurance Study reports) that apply to those communities. If you own or lease property in one of the listed communities, the mapped flood zone or BFE for your property may change and that can affect flood insurance requirements and building or permit rules when you get a new policy or renew an existing policy.

Communities must meet NFIP floodplain rules

The finalized flood hazard information in these LOMRs is the basis for the floodplain management measures communities must adopt or prove are already in effect so they remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The maps and the floodplain management criteria required by 44 CFR 60.3 are the minimum the community must meet, although communities may keep or enact stricter local rules.
