Summary

Flood hazard determinations, which may include additions or modifications of Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, or regulatory floodways on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and where applicable, in the supporting Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports have been made final for the communities listed in the table below. Flood Hazard Maps Finalized

For listed communities in Colorado (Larimer County), Kansas (Allen County and Crawford County), Maryland (Carroll County), and West Virginia (Jefferson County), FEMA finalized flood hazard determinations that may add or change Base Flood Elevations (BFEs), base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) boundaries or zone designations, or regulatory floodways. These final changes are effective with the FIRM and, where applicable, the FIS report on November 27, 2026.

Communities Must Adopt NFIP Measures

The Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report are the basis of floodplain management measures that a community is required to adopt or to show evidence of having an effect in order to qualify or remain qualified for participation in FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The final determinations noted in this notice were issued after publication and resolution of appeals, with the new FIRM/FIS information established for November 27, 2026.

Maps Available Locally and Online

The final FIRM and, if applicable, the FIS report for each listed community will be available for inspection at the community map repository addresses listed in the notice and online through FEMA's Map Service Center (https://msc.fema.gov) by November 27, 2026. FEMA encourages lessees and owners of real property to review the new or revised maps at those locations or online.
