Analyzed Economic Effects
4 provisions identified: 3 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.
More VA school closure relief through 2025
The law extends VA education relief for school closures or disapprovals through September 30, 2025. If your VA-approved school closes or loses approval, relief can apply to you through that date. This change takes effect upon enactment.
VA emergency preparedness funding authorized to 2028
The law lets Congress fund VA emergency preparedness through 2028 by updating the end year in the statute. VA can keep planning and running emergency readiness work. This change takes effect upon enactment.
Longer window for VA contract exam doctors
The law keeps a temporary licensure rule for contract medical examiners in place for five years instead of three. This helps keep contract doctors available to perform VA disability exams. The change takes effect upon enactment.
VA home loan fee date shifts
The law moves a date in the VA home loan fee table from November 14, 2031 to November 15, 2031. Lenders and borrowers use the new date when applying the fee schedule. It does not change fee amounts. This change takes effect upon enactment.
