Published Date: 3/2/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce is kicking off its automatic five-year checkups called Sunset Reviews on certain trade duties to see if they should continue. These reviews affect companies involved in importing goods like aluminum sheets from countries such as Bahrain and Brazil. Starting March 2, 2026, this process could impact trade rules and money flows for businesses tied to these products.

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 1 costs, 2 mixed.

15‑Day Intent To Participate Deadline

Domestic interested parties must file a notice of intent to participate not later than 15 days after the Federal Register publication date (publication date March 2, 2026). If Commerce does not receive a notice of intent to participate from at least one domestic interested party by that 15‑day deadline, Commerce will automatically revoke the order without further review.

Initiation of Five‑Year Reviews

Starting March 2, 2026, the Department of Commerce has initiated automatic five‑year (Sunset) reviews of the listed antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders. The notice names specific orders and products (for example: Common Alloy Aluminum Sheet from multiple countries, Silicon Metal, Diamond Sawblades, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Twist Ties, Seamless Carbon and Alloy Steel Pipe, Steel Welded Wire Mesh, and Phosphate Fertilizers).

Submission, Certification, And Filing Deadlines

If an order‑specific notice of intent to participate is filed, all parties must file complete substantive responses not later than 30 days after the Federal Register publication date (publication date March 2, 2026). Any party submitting factual information must certify its accuracy and completeness using the certification formats in 19 CFR 351.303(g); Commerce intends to reject factual submissions that do not comply. Electronically filed documents must be received in their entirety by ACCESS by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on the day they are due.
