Alaska Railroad can issue $135 million for Seward dock

The law lets the Alaska Railroad Corporation issue up to $135 million in revenue bonds. This replaces the Seward passenger dock and terminal and raises the cap from $60 million. The new dock must fit Alaska Marine Highway ships with side-loading doors. Bonds can be sold in one or several sales. Proceeds may fund reserves, capitalized interest, and issuance costs. Bonds are repaid from dock revenue or other Railroad funds. The state and Railroad do not pledge their general credit. The act takes effect immediately.
