Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 3 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Law backdated and covers many boards

The law exempts itself from the usual rule that a bill can continue only one board. It can continue or reestablish several boards at once. The law applies retroactively to June 30, 2026. This helps ensure no gap around prior sunset dates.

Mental health licensing boards extended

The law keeps four mental health licensing boards running. New sunset dates: Professional Counselors to June 30, 2032; Marital and Family Therapy to June 30, 2034; Psychologist and Psychological Associate Examiners to June 30, 2031; Social Work Examiners to June 30, 2034. This keeps licensing and consumer protections in place. The extensions apply as of June 30, 2026.

Real estate licensing boards extended

The law keeps real estate licensing boards running. The Real Estate Commission now sunsets on June 30, 2030. The Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers now sunsets on June 30, 2032. This maintains licensing rules that protect buyers, sellers, and lenders. The extensions apply as of June 30, 2026.
