Nurse, midwife, and vet boards extended to 2031
The law keeps Alaska’s Board of Nursing, Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives, and Board of Veterinary Examiners running through June 30, 2031. Licenses, rules, and discipline from these boards stay in force. Nurses, midwives, and veterinarians can keep practicing under the current system.
Parole board continues through 2029
The law keeps Alaska’s Board of Parole in place through June 30, 2029. Parole hearings and supervision decisions continue under the board’s authority. This supports steady parole rules and public safety.
Retroactive date and multi-board exception
The law lets this Act continue more than one board in a single bill, despite the usual limit in AS 44.66.050(e). If the Act takes effect after June 30, 2025, it is treated as effective on June 30, 2025. The Act takes effect immediately.
