Easier registration and titles for 25-year imports

Alaska’s motor vehicle agency cannot require current federal safety standards to register a vehicle that is at least 25 years old and was legally imported into the United States. For vehicles registered under this rule, the agency cannot refuse, suspend, or revoke the title because the vehicle does not meet those modern federal standards. The law takes effect immediately.
