Guides and massage boards extended

Marijuana Control Board extended to 2027

The law keeps the Marijuana Control Board in place. The board now ends June 30, 2027. The change applies as of July 1, 2024. Licensing and market rules for marijuana businesses and customers continue.

Aging Commission extended to 2032

The law keeps the Alaska Commission on Aging operating. The commission now ends June 30, 2032. The change applies as of July 1, 2024. This preserves statewide planning and advocacy for seniors and caregivers.

Retroactive start and multi-board exemption

The law is retroactive to July 1, 2024. It also exempts this Act from the rule that a bill may continue only one board. This lets the same Act continue several boards at once and ensures their authority applies from July 1, 2024.
