Border sewage cleanup gets state funding

In fiscal year 2026-2027, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality may use up to $6.531 million from the underground storage tank revolving fund. The money can pay department costs and help address sewage discharge in Naco and other Arizona border areas.

Water agencies get legal and office funding

In fiscal year 2026-2027, the Arizona Navigable Stream Adjudication Commission may use Arizona Water Banking Fund money appropriated to it for legal fees. The Arizona Water Protection Fund Commission may grant the Department of Water Resources up to $336,000 from its unused fund balance for administrative costs. These changes fund agency expenses, not direct household payments.

Area A drivers keep current test fees

In fiscal year 2026-2027, emissions test fees in Area A stay at the level in effect on June 30, 2025. The law does not state the fee amount.
