In fiscal year 2026–2027, the Department of Administration must report within 10 days after any sale of state-owned property in the governmental mall. The report goes to the Senate President, the House Speaker, and the Joint Legislative Budget Committee director. It must list the address, square footage, purchase price, and the fund that received the sale money.
For fiscal year 2026–2027, the state sets fixed rent for space in state-owned buildings. Office space costs $17.87 per square foot. Storage space costs $6.43 per square foot. Agencies and other occupants pay the rate times their square footage. Payments go to the Capital Outlay Stabilization Fund.
