State building rents and sale reporting

During fiscal year 2026-2027, occupants of state-owned buildings pay $17.87 per square foot for office space and $6.43 for storage. The law overrides conflicting rental-rate rules for that year. For sales of state property in the governmental mall, the Department of Administration must report the address, size, sale price, and destination of the proceeds within 10 days.

Private funding for commission plaque

The Legislative Council may arrange for a plaque in the governmental mall honoring the Arizona America 250 Commission. Public money cannot pay for it; the supporters must raise funds and arrange design and construction contracts. The state cannot help with fundraising or hold the money in a state fund. The plaque process follows existing rules, and this law’s plaque provision ends on or after September 30, 2029.
