Pesticide businesses must register, pay fees

The law requires every pesticide and device used or sold in Delaware to be registered with the Department of Agriculture. Distributors and users must ensure each product is registered before it is used or distributed. The Department charges a registration fee every two years for each pesticide or device. The fee is set by rule, cannot be more than $500 per product, and is recalculated at the start of each calendar year. All fee money goes to a special fund to run this program.
