Less privacy protection for fibroid patients

The law removes the ban on personal identifying information in Florida’s uterine fibroid research database. This permits identifying details about women diagnosed with or treated for fibroids. The act takes effect on the same date as HB 1515 or similar legislation. That companion legislation must be adopted during the same legislative session or its extension and become law. Without a qualifying companion law, this act does not take effect.
