Open drinks allowed in Lake Wales district

The law covers the legally defined Lake Wales Arts, Culture and Entertainment District in Polk County. Vendors there licensed for on-site alcohol sales can let customers take opened drinks elsewhere within the district to drink. This applies regardless of license class, type, or series, with no extra license or state alcohol agency approval. Other local ordinances, state alcohol laws, and agency rules still apply unless they conflict with this permission. The law took effect upon becoming law.
