Florida closes mediation fund and transfers money

Beginning July 1, 2026, Florida ends the Mediation and Arbitration Trust Fund in the State Courts System. All remaining money and all revenues move to the State Courts Revenue Trust Fund. That fund must pay the closed fund’s unpaid debts and obligations as soon as practicable. Florida’s Chief Financial Officer must remove the closed fund from state accounting systems, following generally accepted accounting rules. The law does not specify changes to court fees or services.
