Aquaculture business record privacy set to expire

Aquaculture businesses and people who submit aquaculture records are affected. The law places the current records privacy rule under the Open Government Sunset Review. The exemption will be repealed on October 2, 2026 unless the Legislature reenacts it before then. If it is not reenacted, aquaculture records held by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services become public on that date. The act takes effect upon becoming law.
