Beginning July 1, 2025, recent Hawaii high school graduates qualify for resident tuition at any University of Hawaii campus. You must have graduated within two years before the first day of officially scheduled classes for your semester or term. You must also enroll in an undergraduate degree program. This gives eligible graduates a separate way to qualify without meeting the existing residency requirements. The university’s Board of Regents must adopt rules to carry out the law.
