Idaho colleges exempt from outdoor guide licensing

Beginning July 1, 2025, qualifying public and private colleges are exempt from Idaho’s outfitter and guide rules. They must be postsecondary schools accredited by an organization recognized by the Idaho State Board of Education. This exemption removes licensing requirements for these schools; it does not provide household payments.
