The law adds $1.7895 million for Idaho State Tax Commission work from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The money funds general services, audits, compliance, revenue operations, and property tax work within assigned spending categories. The law also authorizes seven additional full-time equivalent positions for that period. Two positions support the parental choice tax credit and can last no longer than two years. The agency must remove those two positions from its base funding in its fiscal year 2028 budget request.
Beginning July 1, 2025, the law removes $674,900 from funds available for Idaho parental choice tax credits. That money pays for running the program instead. The law does not specify changes to any person's credit amount or who qualifies.
