Idaho funds vision restoration services

The law gives Idaho’s Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired $127,700 for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. $62,700 comes from the Rehabilitation Revenue and Refunds Fund: $34,300 for operating expenditures and $28,400 for payments. $65,000 comes from the Adaptive Aids and Appliances Fund for operating expenditures. The Commission must first fund sight restoration services that preserve, stabilize, or restore vision for eligible people. These amounts are effective and available starting July 1, 2026.
