Funding for state education office in 2026–27
The law provides $4,998,400 for the Office of the State Board of Education from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. $998,400 comes from the state General Fund and $4,000,000 from the Federal Grant Fund. It sets $2,088,800 for operating costs (General Fund $998,400; Federal $1,090,400) and $2,909,600 for trustee and payments (Federal $2,909,600). Funds must be used in those categories for that year. Staff and state funds cut at education office
The law cuts the state General Fund for the office by $510,500 for July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. $492,300 comes from personnel costs and $18,200 from operating costs. The law also reduces authorized staff by 4.00 full-time positions for that year.
