2026-2027 funding for Idaho community colleges

The state provides $1.37 million from the General Fund for community colleges. The money covers July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Of that, $959,100 is for staff pay and $409,600 for operations. College totals are: Eastern Idaho $167,400; Southern Idaho $423,800; Western Idaho $453,800; North Idaho $323,700. Colleges must use the money in the listed expense categories.

Operating cuts for Idaho community colleges

The law reduces operating funds by $245,500 for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Cuts are: Eastern Idaho $26,700; Southern Idaho $101,600; Western Idaho $71,000; North Idaho $46,200. The reduction applies even if other laws say otherwise.
