Targeted funding for Idaho universities

The law provides targeted funding to Idaho’s public universities for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Boise State gets $139,400 from the General Fund ($134,800 staff, $4,600 operating). Idaho State gets $470,900: $97,800 from the General Fund ($95,200 staff, $2,600 operating), $113,000 from the Charitable Institutions Endowment, and $260,100 from the Normal School Endowment. Lewis‑Clark State College gets $355,800 from the Normal School Endowment. The University of Idaho gets $1,454,100: $273,300 from the General Fund, $120,000 from the Agricultural College Endowment, $380,400 from the Scientific School Endowment, and $680,400 from the University Endowment. In total, the act appropriates $2.42 million for FY 2027.

General Fund cuts for Idaho universities

For the same 2026–27 period, the law cuts General Fund operating money to these universities. Boise State’s operating budget is reduced by $295,300. Idaho State’s is reduced by $186,300. Lewis‑Clark State College’s is reduced by $61,100. The University of Idaho’s is reduced by $210,200. The total General Fund operating reduction is $752,900.
