Idaho Legislature gets funding and carryover authority

The law adds $200,000 from Idaho’s General Fund for the Legislature’s Medicaid Review Panel operating costs. This appropriation takes effect on passage and approval, covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The Legislature can carry over fiscal year 2026 General Fund money left unspent and not committed to expenses. Beginning July 1, 2026, those balances are available only for one-time costs through June 30, 2027. The law sets no carryover amount and does not change household Medicaid eligibility or benefits.
