Staff funding for Idaho’s attorney general

Idaho provides an extra $880,000 for Attorney General staff costs for July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. It provides another $880,000 for July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Each year, Idaho’s Consumer Protection Fund supplies $817,000 for State Legal Services and $63,000 for Internet Crimes Against Children. Despite conflicting laws, this money supports the Attorney General’s duties under Idaho law, not direct household payments. Under an emergency clause, the first year’s provisions took effect upon passage and approval; the second year’s begin July 1, 2026.
