Gowen Field gets funding for climate systems

Idaho’s Military Division gets an additional $6.5 million from the Federal Grant Fund, on top of existing funding. Its Federal/State Agreements Program must use this money for operating costs to replace climate-control systems in Gowen Field’s Air National Guard buildings. The spending period runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The law declares an emergency and takes effect upon passage and approval. It does not provide direct household payments.
