Idaho courts receive funding and spending flexibility

The law provides $98.4045 million for Idaho court programs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. It also allows up to $16.2222 million in unused, uncommitted fiscal year 2025 ARPA recovery funds for one-time costs during that period. Before processing this carryover, the State Controller must confirm amounts by fund, expense class, and program with the Legislative Services Office. Courts can move appropriated money among programs and spending categories without the usual transfer limits. Moving money between funds still requires express legislative approval.

Monthly payments support Idaho judges' retirement

From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, Idaho's Judicial Branch must move uncommitted state retirement contribution money each month. This applies to General Fund money set aside for the state's share of judges' retirement contributions. The Branch must move that money into operating expenses, then pay it into the Judges' Retirement Fund.
