Idaho ends regional library system law
Beginning July 1, 2026, Idaho repeals the state law for regional library systems. The repeal removes rules on boundaries, boards, duties, financing, joining or leaving a system, and state administration. Existing regional library systems no longer have state statutory authority. The act creates no new program, funding, or replacement rules.
