Regional library system laws repealed

The law repeals Idaho’s regional library system statutes on July 1, 2026. It removes rules for forming regions, boards, powers, funding, and joining or leaving a system. It also ends state oversight of those systems by the Board of Library Commissioners. The act creates no replacement system and adds no new funding. An emergency clause sets the July 1, 2026 start date.
