State ends capital defense fund law
Beginning July 1, 2026, Idaho repeals the law that set up the Capital Crimes Defense Fund. The state removes the legal authority for that fund. The act does not provide any replacement money or transition rules. After that date, agencies and courts cannot rely on that statute to run the fund.
