Extra funds for conservation reserve payments

Effective on passage, the law provides $12,900 from the Miscellaneous Revenue Fund for Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program payments. The money covers July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 and adds to earlier funding.

Conservation funding moves and district grants

Beginning July 1, 2026, the state moves Soil and Water Conservation Commission funding from Agriculture to Water Resources. It cuts $3,982,700 from Agriculture and gives Water Resources $4,369,800 for July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Money comes from the General Fund and other named funds. Of this amount, $300,000 is split equally among 50 local conservation districts ($6,000 each), on top of their usual support.
