Assisted living and nursing homes get joint training

The Department runs joint training twice a year for assisted living and nursing home surveyors and providers. Planning includes the State long-term care ombudsman or designee and representatives from each provider association. At least once a year, a session covers regional patterns in complaints, standards, citations, and outcomes. The Department develops standard training to help facilities prevent common survey citations. These steps aim to improve consistent rules and care quality.
